Program Overview

The broad purpose of the program is to engage participants in understanding the process of setting up a business incubator and its related operations. This can enable participants plan and establish an entrepreneurial & innovation ecosystem leading to internal change and bridging the skill and entrepreneurial gap in higher education.

Program Content

The two-phase program introduces processes related to the establishment and nurturing business incubation centers in colleges, thereby strengthening the entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystems.

Phase 1: Face-to-face residential program, has covers topics like understanding incubation basics and design thinking through a workshop mode. Along with visit to the riidl campus and interaction with startups.

Phase 2: Online, introduces tools for incubation events and activities along with handholding support.

Research Innovation Incubation Design Labs (riidl), Somaiya Vidyavihar is an innovation centre, startup incubator and an accelerator at Somaiya Vidyavihar. It has more than 12 years of experience in practising business incubation and collaborating with national and international organisations to facilitate entrepreneurship and fuel the maker movement globally. Their expertise lies in development of business incubation centers, collaboration with industry and development of entrepreneurial skills among students and faculty from educational institutions.
