Program Overview:
The program covers current topics in the field of (1) Linguistics (2) Ancient History, Culture and Archaeology for the UG and PG teachers. The program aims to introduce the fields of heritage studies, language studies and human cognition.
Program Content:
The program covers relevant topics like language families in India, language and philosophy, ideological turns in linguistics, issues in translation from the field of linguistics and further plant domestication and origin of agriculture, cultural heritage management and archaeology, gender archaeology, environmental disasters and culture as part of the program. Thus instilling curiosity to explore facts and scientific temperament as a necessary process in understanding history and culture of Indian society. The program adopts an activity-based and interactive methodology along with live demonstrations.

Deccan College Post-Graduate and Research Institute (DCPRI) is a Deemed University dedicated to research and teaching in the disciplines of Ancient Indian History and Culture, Archaeology, Linguistics, Sanskrit and Lexicography. It was founded in 1821 and is the third oldest educational institution for higher education in India.
