Pradnya Parisar Prakalp

Program Overview

Pradnya Parisar Prakalp is a three-year institutional model program wherein a team of five to seven representatives comprising of one representative from management, two faculty representatives, two administrative staff representatives and two students undergo capacity building under the able guidance of Dr. Anand Nadkarni. After the five-day residential program, the team is expected to bring in another 15 members from college as part of the core team to design, and initiate processes that enable cultural shift in college to become emotionally friendly learning space.

Program Content

The key concept of Pragnya Parisar Prakalp is to sensitise the college representatives to be emotionally savvy through processes that weave through their daily lives on campus rather than being ‘taught’. Thus, the program enables learn rather absorb effortlessly the importance of emotional-friendly environment in any learning space.

During the five-day workshop, participants reflect upon various emotions and emotional situations experienced at the campus through diverse methods of engagement like role plays, case studies, group discussions. Thus, creating opportunity to reflect on their day-to-day experiences, identify personality traits and appreciate the importance of emotional connect between every individual. By the end of the workshop, participants develop an action plan to make their campus an emotionally-friendly place. Follow up sessions after workshop guide and support college teams in carrying out the action plan.

The colleges have the opportunity of intensive capacity building process in the consecutive years of the program depending their interest and efforts made during the previous year.

Knowledge Partner

The Institute for Psychological Health (IPH) is led by its founder, a well-known consultant psychiatrist Dr. Anand Nadkarni. IPH is a social enterprise with a strong community mental health focus. It’s a sanctuary for people seeking mental health or emotional well-being knowledge. IPH provides an ‘Umbrella’ approach, i.e., many services for many age groups, under one roof. This ensures holistic intervention of the particular problem.
