Rational and Scientific Thought

Program Overview

It is believed that college years are the most influential years to shape one’s thought process and opinions beyond personal life. The three-year, peer-to-peer institutional model program for colleges across Maharashtra is designed to introduce students to the Indian Constitutional Values and rational thought process. It provokes discussions and deliberations on various topics amongst peers in guided mode thereby encouraging colleges to set up Rational Thinking Cell in their respective colleges.

Program Content

The program includes sessions on the Constitution of India where students understand and deliberate on constitutional values of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity. It fosters scientific thinking in day-to-day life while discussing topics like gender equality, drug free environment, responsible relationships and many more. The sessions include various activities like path-natya, group discussions, presentations and also some interesting demonstrations of scientific experiments uncovering supernatural myths spread in the society. The program will introduce possible set of processes & activities that the participants could plan & undertake on a regular basis in their colleges as part of Rational Thinking Cell.

MSFDA invites resource persons practicing values of scientific temperament & rational thought as part of their inhouse/self-initiated program.

Duration: Two days with follow-up activities throughout the year
