Program Overview

The program introduces participants to the close connection of Science, Astronomy and Society through an exposure to the wonders of Astronomy. The purpose is to instill curiosity and scientific temperament as a core to learning among participants.

Program Content

The program offers engaging activities like star gazing, bird watching along with a session on contribution of women in the field of astronomy. The highlight of the program is a hands-on experience of using telescope, exploring environment and its connect with society. The hands-on and theory sessions broaden participant’s understanding of astronomy and its relevance to society.

Knowledge Partner

ACE-IUCAA is a premier national level Centre in Astronomy and Astrophysics located near Savitribai Phule Pune University Campus. The Centre is involved in several prestigious projects of international /national importance. IUCAA also provides a platform for research to more than 200 visiting associates, who are faculty members of higher educational institutions in the country.
